ARt by katia von kral
Artist. Creator. Inspiration. Advocate.

Since she was very young, art has been her calling. Katie (what most folks call her), has her degree in fine arts from Arizona State University. She has done artwork and murals for well-known celebrities and large corporations including Google, Pulte, and Del Webb. Katie had an opportunity to help facilitate the restoration of the 1926 Historic Civic Plaza in downtown Phoenix.
Kaite's collection, “Solfege Family Collection” (once featured at the world renowned Musical Instrument Museum gift shop) and Cowboys and Instruments Collection, she has gained recognition as one of the most captivating artists of the 21st century. The Cowboys and Instruments Collection, Country Critters Collection, and many other country related pieces are featured in retail stores throughout the West. These popular series’ awarded the her the opportunity to be the featured artist of the annual Festival of the West in Scottsdale, AZ in 2013.
In the summer of 2016, Katie added another dimension to my artistry when artist Randall Hedden of Tribute Art Live asked her to come alongside him and learn the craft of speed painting. With this skill, they create famous portraits or familiar scenes, to the sound of lively music in ten minutes or less, live and in front of large audiences. Sometimes these events are for pure entertainment. Generally, these events are for charity fundraisers where an auctioneer sells the work immediately after the show. Through this live artwork presentation, Katie has been able to participate in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for several local charities, as well as national ones, at venues like the Celebrity Theater and the Scottsdale Culinary Arts Festival. One of her favorite speed painting shows thus far has been the “Highwaymen Show,” where Hedden and Katie painted all four portraits of the country singing outlaws in fifteen minutes to tracks of their legendary music.
A part of all the proceeds from Katie's art sales are donated to support the Endometriosis Association, a charitable organization dear to her heart. Katie's own personal journey battling this painful condition, called endometriosis, has made her an advocate for helping in the search for cure. It affects over 176 million women worldwide. About 30-40% of these women cannot have children and suffer from EXTREME pain! Katie endeavors to help as many organizations looking for a cure as she can.
Love for country and western things in Katie's life, stems from her affinity for the outdoors, camping, fishing, riding horses, and other childhood memories with her family in Idaho, Montana, and Nevada. She enjoys traveling and her artwork is greatly inspired and reflects her love of music.
